Ansel Adams: Born in 1902 in SanFransisco. His father was a rich man until 1907 when he lost his fortune. Ansel had trouble fitting in at school because he broke his nose in an earthquake so his aunt and father tutored him at home until going to Kate M. Wilkins Private School. Besides being one of the most famous American photographers ever Ansel was also pianist. In 1927 he created his first fully visualized photograph, monolith, the Face of Half Dom. Some interesting facts about Ansel are, he loved the outside, He used a camera called the "box brownie", and he spent most his summer in the Sierra Nevadas taking pictures of the wilderness. I chose the picture I did because it has a lot of contrast and I love the outdoors and wilderness so I can relate to it.
